As the Cybersecurity Architect you will join our growing architecture practice and lead the development of secure, high-performance solutions across our product suite. This is a strategic role embedded within our software department, reporting to the Head of Information Technology. As the Cybersecurity Architect you will join our growing architecture practice and lead the development of secure, high-performance solutions across our product suite. This is a strategic role embedded within our software department, reporting to the Head of Information Technology. What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with software and IT teams to embed security into design, development, and delivery.
- Lead the design and implementation of security controls across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Conduct threat modelling, risk assessments, and security reviews for new and existing systems.
- Define and enforce security architecture principles, standards, and policies.
- Champion secure development practices (DevSecOps, SDLC) and mentor technical teams.
- Evaluate and recommend security technologies (e.g., SIEM, EDR, Zero Trust frameworks).
- Translate security strategy into actionable architecture and reusable design patterns.
- Support incident response and forensic investigations as a subject matter expert.
- Stay ahead of emerging threats and proactively strengthen Deswik’s security posture.
Your Skills and Experience
- 7+ years in cybersecurity roles, including 2+ years in security architecture or senior engineering.
- Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or CISM are highly desirable.
- Deep expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure), identity and access management, and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST).
- Experience with secure development practices and DevSecOps.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence across technical and business teams.
